Teacher Bio
Marlena has studied and was trained as an Egyptian style belly dance performer and instructor. Her experience in the Middle Eastern dance community has given her great opportunities to perform for many Arab families with her authentic and earthy style. She has danced for many OC restaurants most notably at the Marrakesh Moroccan restaurant in Costa Mesa for over a decade. She was an instructor for Westminster Performing Arts Center and directed a student belly dance group for many years. Teaching is what she feels most passionate about and truly enjoys helping girls and ladies discover their inner beauty and passion with this art form. Marlena recently retired from performing and is very excited to share her knowledge and experience of this lovely, feminine dance.
